# List tasks

> Returns the workspace's tasks, newest first. Each task includes its linked records (with their
field values) and the state of the workers' current run.

By default the list pages with a cursor: pass `limit`, then send `meta.pagination.next_cursor`
back as `cursor` for the next page. A `sort`, `groupBy`, or `page` (as a parameter or inside
`filters`) switches to page-number paging, where `meta.pagination` holds `page`, `limit`,
`totalPages`, `count` and `hasMore`. See [Pagination](/api-reference/pagination) and
[Filtering and sorting](/api-reference/filtering).

To list only the tasks linked to one record, send `{"relatedObjectId": "<record id>"}` in `filters`.
To list one stage, send `{"filters": [{"field": "status", "operator": "equals", "value": "in_progress"}]}`.

          description: >-
            A JSON object, URL-encoded. Keys:

            - `search` (string): matches text in the title or description,
            case-insensitive.

            - `relatedObjectId` (id): only tasks linked to this record.

            - `filters` (array): conditions `{ "field", "operator", "value",
            "conjunction" }`. Conditions are
combined with AND; a condition with `"conjunction": "or"` joins an OR group instead. Operators:
              `equals`, `not_equals`, `contains`, `in` (value is a list), `gt` or `after`, `gte`, `lt` or `before`,
              `lte`, `empty`, `not_empty`. Fields include `status`, `priority`, `title`, `description`, `dueDate`,
              `isFinished` (value `"true"` or `"false"` as a string), `assignedUser` (matches the assignee's name,
              case-insensitive), `metadata.created.by` (a user id),
              `metadata.created.at` and `metadata.updated.at` (`equals` matches the whole day, plus `after`, `before`).
            - `sort` (array): `{ "field", "direction" }` with direction `asc` or
            `desc`, for example
`[{"field": "dueDate", "direction": "asc"}]`. Text sorts ignore case.
            - `groupBy` (string): one of `status`, `priority`, `assignedUser`,
            `dueDate`, `createdAt`,
`isFinished`, `title`. Each item in `data` is then a group `{ groupValue, count, tasks }`
instead of a task. Grouping by `status` or `priority` returns one group per value, each with
its total `count` and its first `pageSize` tasks. Other groupings return at most 1000 tasks in all.
            - `page` and `pageSize`: page-number paging. `pageSize` is capped at
            200.
          example: >-
            {"relatedObjectId":"66f1a8c3e4b0a1b2c3d4e5f6","filters":[{"field":"status","operator":"equals","value":"in_progress"}]}
